That time again for an update on my 401K.

Apr - 3.08 %
May - 1.50 %
Jun - 19.16 % What Happened?

The second quarter was doing a nice job of leading into the 3rd qtr, and then fell to the worst record for the year. I expect all of the Doomsayers will say I told you so.... I say that if their predictions are true, then why does the Dow or S&P have stocks that are in an uptrend? In fact.... why aren't ALL stocks in a downtrend?

My 401k is still above my Bailout point (but very close).

I only know that the Candlesticks are still picking 50-70% winners on a daily basis. To me, this is a good sign. Although a big move seems like a rarity these days.... I'll settle for the small, steady profits.

Happy Trading Very Happy

I commend you and others for posting your losses. We readily tell our gains, causing people to be really impressed, but we all get a little more quiet on our losses.

I'm down 40% myself, all because I wouldn't listen to my wife and not trade while we are doing a major remodeling job on our house. It takes so much focus which I couldn't give and now I'm living with the consequences. A month ago I finally listened and stopped trading, this took so much will power because I have rarely missed a day of trading (or watching) in 4 years. I give her thanks for supporting me during this down time, after all it's her money too.

I'm ok with this though, I made it before and I'll do it again. Candlesticks have become a way of life for me and when the rules are followed they produce results.
