Stock market picks - the candlestick signal format

The advantage of following stock market picks utilizing candlestick signals is twofold. The basic premise of candlestick signals is that they are identifying signals occurring in the right positions of a trend to signify high probabilities of a reversal. This produces the capability of identifying in low risk trades, due to the over sold condition, and being able to see a candlestick buy signal, representing a change in investor sentiment. The low risk is based on buying at the optimal levels. Secondly, this allows the candlestick investor to call a very a portfolio of long or short positions, depending upon the trends of the markets, to keep the exposed investment funds positioned properly.

The signals allow the candlestick investor to immediately evaluate where funds are moving to. Sell signals in one sector and buy signals in another sector become a clear indication of where investor sentiment is shifting. The probabilities become extremely high, when buying into stocks that have sector charts confirming, but you are in stocks that have a generally good buying sentiment across the board. Stock market picks become easier knowing that you are in a stock that is getting favorable signals in the sector in general.

When analyzing the stock market picks, being able to evaluate the overall trend of the markets is another added factor for being in the correct direction. Simple logic dictates that if the stock market indexes show excellent bottoming signals, then the portfolio should be oriented toward the long side. Conversely, sell signals in the overbought area of the Dow or the NASDAQ allows the candlestick investor to move to cash or short positions. If the market is moving in a sideways pattern, that a combination of long and short positions is the best strategy.

A function of the candlestick signals is to have you exposed to the market direction heavily when it is trending one-way the other. When the market direction is not clear, the effectiveness of the candlestick signals may be diminished, but allows a candlestick investor to still potentially make profitable trades in a sideways market. A sideways market may not make a whole lot of money for the account, but the point of investing is to be able to exploit profits when profits can be made and maintain the equity when the markets are not move in a clear pattern. Utilize a candlestick signals to make big money when the trends are moving and maintain the equity when the trends are flat.
