Is PHTN a sell now that it has crossed below the 50ma? if not why not

no, you use the 50 day moving average as a guide, it first was going to act as a resistance which we saw was eliminated with a coming up through with a gap up after a doji signal. Now that is trading above substantially, it should now be looked as being a support level. You use the 50 day moving average to see what the signals are telling you at those levels.

My other guy has PHTN on his list and so far since i have been a member of this site, he has had more winners with larger gains than steve.

To me it sure looks like it formed an evening star yesterday. Probably headed down to the $21 area.

The doji followed by the bearish engulfing signal was a good sell signal.
Wednesday's small range trading is usually indecision between the Bulls and the bears. If it opens lower tomorrow, it will probably have another big down day. Look for the 50 day moving average to be the first support level at around $20.20.
