Steve give us a professional opinion on this one. CHS looks like a Kicker at first glance. But since it has not "kicked" up out of a recent trading range, I would hesitate to call this a real kicker. No doubt, the gap up would call for some more watching and the downside movement could be ending but CHS has really only "kicked" up to the top of its trading range.

So the question - "Is CHS a real Kicker today?"

PS - I took CHS on a candle signal (Doji followed by Gap Up on Nov. 23)last week. When the signal failed....I got out yesterday at a loss. Wish I had given it one more day. This is one of those times when the signal worked but I got impatient with it. However, yesterday looked scary for CHS.

Nothing to analyze other than the fact that this is a strong kicker signal, buy all Kicker signals, especially when it goes from one moving average to above the next moving average.

CHS the kicker signal is the important factor, it tells you that there has been a definite change of investor sentiment. All other factors such as stochastics or moving averages become unimportant. This is a very nice signal

that CHS kicker is really good one as it starts below the lower Bollinger Band and goes past the upper BB in one day while passing by the 200ma on the way with several times the average daily volume for fuel.

would you play the down retracement on this, or simply wait for the pull back and enter after the retracement?

what was that big white candle? Earnings or something... i don't follow these guys... i'm just looking at it for reference.

on the daily, it looks like it may be forming an evening star with a shooting star. thus i would presume a retracement might be in order after a $5.00 move. but then again, it is still 1pm...

A kicker signal can usually have a retracement, which is the right time to start buying, based on the fact at the kicker signal itself is demonstrating a dramatic change of investor sentiment. However, there's always going to be some initial profit-taking. That is usually a good time to pick up some position
